The James Kane Foundation is funded by the legacy of the late Jim Kane, owner and sole share holder of JW Kane Precision Engineering Limited. Its sole charitable purpose is in the advancement of education via grant making, education and training.

The James Kane Foundation has opened a new grants programme which focuses on two themes:

• Enabling STEM related education and career opportunities.
• Enabling students to make the correct choices between employment/career and higher-level education pathways.
