James Kane, the owner of the entire capital share capital in his business, JM Kane Precision Engineering Limited, bequeathed his shareholding to a charitable foundation. The charity, ‘The James Kane Foundation’ was set up in 2016 with the key purpose to advance education, mainly for people living in Portadown and its environs, but also elsewhere in Northern Ireland.
The James Kane Foundation aims to provide grants to enable individuals to access training and skills to develop their learning and improve their employment prospects.
The Foundation has been registered with both Companies House and the Charity Commission for NI, as required.
It has a board of Trustees which, at the present time, requires a Foundation Manager to provide daily management including operational and Foundation governance management to enable the charity to deliver its objectives.
