The Shankill Primary School Active Learning Community brings together principals from eight primary schools to work collaboratively on the unique challenges and opportunities facing children and families in the area. In partnership with the Greater Shankill Partnership, local post-primary schools, Queen’s University, and community organisations, the network is building stronger pathways for learning and development.

With support from the James Kane Foundation, along with the Belfast Charitable Society, the project will fund a Co-ordinator role for three years, ensuring shared learning, resources, and expertise across schools. The Co-ordinator will also provide classroom cover, giving teachers vital opportunities for professional development.
The Foundation has awarded significant funding towards this initiative, helping schools in the Shankill community to deliver a stronger, more connected education for all.
