On Wednesday 20th September, Trustees of the James Kane Foundation met with Gwen Kane, widow of James Walker Kane, and her granddaughter Amy, to update them on the work to date of The James Kane Foundation.
James Kane bequeathed all his shareholdings to be put into a charitable foundation in his Will. The James Kane Foundation was established in April 2016, and was registered on the 3rd August 2016 with the Charities Commission Northern Ireland. The Trustees wanted to first and foremost thank Gwen and the wider Kane family for the amazing financial contribution which allowed The James Kane Foundation to be established, and which is changing young peoples lives in such a positive way.

Gwen and Amy heard about the large number of projects across Northern Ireland which are helping young people progress in their education, training and employment. From mentor support to bursaries; career and leadership programmes to scholarships. For the latest projects, visit our projects page.
